Established in 1955 and the very first archaeological park in Italy, Naquane Park protects and promotes one of the most important prehistoric and protohistoric rock carving sites in Camonica Valley (104 large rocks). In 1979, it was the first Italian site on the UNESCO list, which protects all rock art in Valle Camonica and includes other parks in various locations.
Together with 7 other parks distributed along the valley, the Naquane Park is part of the UNESCO Site No. 94 “Rock Art of Valle Camonica“, which includes over 180 sites spread over 24 municipalities and spanning over 12,000 years of history!
